The JPR_Stitch prints are created directly from his unique free-hand embroideries. The artist firstly creates two small embroideries on his sewing machine and then uses these as the printing plates - the first stitching is inked in the rubine magenta ink and run through the printing press. Once dry, the second stitching is inked in the warm yellow oil-based ink and put through the press for a second time, this creates the distinctive two-colour artwork, typical of JPR_Stitch. Fabriano Rosaspina white (285gsm) printmaking paper is used - the prints feature one deckled edge (bottom). As each print is hand-printed, there are very slight nuances between them.
